This DEWALT 25 foot magnetic tape measure 2 pack stands out for double sided measurements, fractional markings, and extra precision marks that make it easier to read than some alternatives. The magnetic blade and two pack format add practical value for everyday jobsite use, especially when tapes get lost, stolen, or beat up. The main caveats are durability and availability, with reports of the tape breaking after a single drop and Home Depot saying this price was not available until November 5. A useful pick if those features matter more than ruggedness.

  • The tape measure includes double-sided measurement capability for easier layout work.

  • The tape has more precision marks than a recently purchased Milwaukee 25-inch combo set.

  • The tape includes fractional markings that can help with measurements requiring fractions.

  • The magnetic design can be useful when you need to hold the tape against metal surfaces.

  • The product photos may omit base length, which must be added when measuring with the base included.

  • The tape can break after a single drop on pavement even with careful handling.

  • Home Depot reportedly delayed availability at the listed price until November 5 after an order was placed.

  • The magnetic DEWALT tape may not be directly comparable to a non-magnetic FatMax classic for the same use case.

This one has fractions printed, fat max does not. Just an observation.

Thanks, been looking for some with double sided measurements.I don't see much point in buying super expensive tape measures. They get lost, stolen, and beat up...
Mine seem to break with a single drop on pavement, no matter how babied they are the rest of their lives.

Old school Stanley is all anyone needs. My dad has ran a building company for 40 years and never needed anything else.
My dad ran his business fifty plus years and just retired a few years ago in his 90's believing that computers are the devil...

That locking mechanism broke so fast on mine that it was retired to light housework in about a month.

stanley fatmax single pack classic is made in usa.the 2 pack fatmax isnt.id recommend fatmax for hard everyday use. for regular handy homeowner pick your favorite color, though fraction markings are nice.i have the atomic version of these, they're very nice but dont seem durable

I say go the weight weenie route. Get all the lightest stuff that's plenty good for serious work, then you can even have your M12 drill and your M12 driver in your tool belt and you're fully nimble.
