Similar performance to an RTX 5070, and there have been a bunch of 5070 deals cheaper than this recently. The only real advantage here is 20gb VRAM versus 12gb, which may be a factor if you game at 4k native resolution. NVIDIA has better upscaling/frame gen tech, though, so at 1440p or lower I think I'd go with a 5070.

This, or the 9070XT for $660 at Microcenter?

Similar performance (maybe slight edge to the 9070xt) - but more so it's newer, and more power efficient. Unless you REALLY need the extra VRAM, the 9700 is a better choice.

Make sure the seller is not Fennec, Inc they are made sketchy. Bought this deal last time and the GPU smelt really bad I returned it and was denied a refund. They stated the GPU was broken tho I did not even use it.

not really.
For image stuff like stable diffusion, flux, wan ect AMD gpus are just not very performant like the 9070 xt performs roughly around the 3060 level (many times even worse).

For llm stuff this is decent but a used 3090 would be much nicer.

Is my understanding correct that, because this is sold by a third-party seller who is not an authorized reseller, there is no manufacturer warranty?

And then, if that's the case, then Newegg by an authorized seller for $10 more ($599) is the much safer bet?

I have the Powercolor version of the 7900 XT. Great card esp for MS 2020/2024. The VRAM really comes useful, all 20 GB is used in dense scenarios. I have it powered by a 600 watt PSU in a Mini ITX SFF build, and its overclocked, paired with a AMD 7600X3d cpu that only consumes 20 watts with the max board power of the 7900 XT showing 380 w peak with a total power consumption showing 480watt measured by the Kilawatt meter.
