I have both Vons and Albertsons where I live. If I purchase it through either, does it apply to both, or do I have to buy one membership for each?

My best advice is to call the number on the website and ask. My guess is, it is one or the other because you aren't going to get a $5 credit at EACH chain every month, just one chain.

However, since it is a mm, and you make back what you spend, it's not absurd to do both stores if you regularly shop both chains. The $5 credit is good for the entire month when it is credited on the 1st of each month.

I mean, I have one rewards membership, and when I buy things at either place, I earn points in one centralized fashion... I would hope this membership is like that too. But yes, I probably should call the number just to make sure

The points aspect should continue, and with Fresh Pass the points DO NOT EXPIRE.

Now, it is possible the accounts are linked such that the $5 will show at each store and then once redeemed at either store, it falls off BOTH stores for the month. But again, since I only have one chain in my area, and my answers are simply guesses, best and safest route is to call them and ask how it works if you shop both chains.

Randalls, being part of Safeway, also offers the same promo.

I have shopped at Randalls online for a couple of times (without Fresh Pass membership). I just want to share their uncommon practice on using gift cards for online purchases in case it is helpful to you. I used Randalls/Safeway/Albertson gift cards purchased from Amazon when placing my orders at randalls.com. Later I found out that the same gift card was declined when I tried to use it in store even there was still over $70 balance left on the card. Eventually I found out in my Randalls app that when you used a gift card for online purchase, the entire gift card balance is converted to "Randalls Cash", and "Randalls Cash" can be used for online purchases only not for store purchases. This is a uncommon practice as other retailers I know allow the same gift card being used for both online and in-store purchases such as Walmart, Target, etc. And I was not informed about such a uncommon practice nor asked for confirmation before using my gift cards at randalls.com. I don't order at randalls.com often due to its minimum amount of purchase required for fee waiver. Now I have over$70 gift card balance stuck there.

I don't know if other Safeway family stores have the same uncommon practice on using gift cards online. If you order online very often, this may not affect you. I share this just FYI.

Yes good info, or buy smaller denomination gift cards (say in $25 increments) so you can use them to pay for both online orders or in store by applying only a smaller $25 GC to an order online so you're not having a full $100 gift card designated only for online form of payment.

Just called; so for us Californians (and for any other place where there is more than one Safeway-owned supermarket, when you buy the membership, it applies to all brands; you don't need to purchase separate Fres Passes for each brand.

Good, but you will only get ONE $5 per month credit to use once at one store, not $5 at each store. I hope you inquired about that aspect too.

if you subbed last year it doesn't seem to let you renew until your cancel date passes, mine was 11/15 and no options to renew or anything. I cancelled immediately after subbing so i don't forget and its worked fine for the past 11 months, $5 "free" per month and some other minor perks including a $2 starbucks grande drink (monthly).

Sometimes you'd get an extra $10-15 coupon when spending $50 on a pickup/delivery order and that was great.

yeah i could use a new email/phone but i'll just wait, the offer goes on till dec so i'll see if it lets me renew for $49 after my sub expires.

I didn't, but I am fairly certain that that would be the case; makes sense that it would be like that, and I am fine with it.

Have gotten a few really good Q's with FP at Acme.

$40/$75 pick up or deliver order

$10/10 pick up order (3x over the year) Basically $6 in free stuff as there's a $3.95 pick up fee on small orders, so I order $10-11 worth of stuff, pay the pick up fee.
