I attached (bolted) one of these to my drill case.

Filled it with bits, screws, wagos, mollys, etc. Saved countless trips back to the garage for parts.... a nice feature is the sides lock when closed and nothing gets spilled if you forget to clip the main latch.

I have another in my spare tire hole, filled with bungees and ratchet straps.

If you can get a few for $7, buy them, you'll find something for them to do...

These aren't as rigid as they look but for $7 they are pretty good for organizing knick knacks.

You are right, they are a little flimsier than they look. Although with what's available in the price range these are good for my use case AND they lock vertically together. If you don't need the vertical latch, the 2 pack hyper tough would be an alternative.
