That sure brings back the memories. All we had before the WWW was usenet, and it was great. 100% text, no graphocs.

Although assembling GIFs converted to multi part ASCII using vi was quite cumbersome.

So, EasyNews can't be accessed through say Stremio/Kodi app for movies/etc?
Has anyone tried Privadovpn? Any good? Currently have mullvad but considering proton or airvpn

is usernet even a thing anymore? I used to use it in the good old days, but there was so much promotion of it, and many slickdeals posts about it, ... it ruined the experience for me.

It does bring back memories for me, GOOD TIMES. RULE NUMBER ONE (don't talk about newsgroups) was disregarded, and the masses piled in, and destoyed the place.

Many long time slickdealers know what I'm talking about. The answer used to be "why not talk about it" ... "nothing will happen if you talk about it". Smilie

Good old days!

Anyway, last time I checked it turned to crap! Still some flesh on the old corpse, but rotten.

Maybe new way to do stuff, but it got to be pain.

what period are you even talking about? usenets heyday was the 90s through 2010s or so, and you didnt even join slickdeals until 2021

I'm not able to find on the Eweka signup page where it states the deal expires after 12 months. Are you told after signing up? All i see is 2.50/mo with no stated end date.
