I bought one of these. The opening for the USB C port is so small you can't get a normal USB cable into it to charge it. You need to use the USB C cable that's provided and an adapter for the lightning end of the other cable to be able to charge it. It's almost useless due to its poor design.

I bought the INIU version of this for around $13 and it works great and gets more use than I expected. It is light, portable, and powers a surprising amount. It doesn't have a recessed port, so no issue with cables.

It charges from both ports. Just leave the Lightning plugged in and use USB C end of the cable to the outlet. Both ports are in/out.
