I just had one of these die last week and was out of warranty by a few months. Sitting in an unraid server with 30-40C temps on average and very little load.

Only 6TB of feet pics?! You gotta pump those numbers up, those are rookie numbers!

Have a mixed drive NAS and I'm running 2x 6TB WD Red Plus drives and 2x 6TB Ironwolfs.

Only the WD drives have failed...not sure what to think of that, but in the past I remember similar with my computer hard drives.

The 14TB IronWolf Pro is $229 (https://www.seagate.com/products/...T8000NT001) , so this deal isn't all that great in terms of $/TB or feature

If seagate had a choice of making slightly more money or slightly more people lose their unbackedup data....

All my 6TB Red Plus died right after 3yr warranty. Terrible generation. My 10TB and HGST stuff are good after 5 yr still

Go onto the WD website and get drives that won't keep failing. I have had way too many Seagate drives fail. (I actually worked in their Scott's Valley facility for 1.5 years). I have chatted the WD people up in the little chat app several times and gotten them to give me a 20% off code.

I've got HP Enterprise(HGST) drives from 11 years ago that are STILL RUNNING. They don't make them like they used to!
