They're just under 7" between shelves. I probably wouldn't use bigger figures on them. But anything under 5'5" or so should be fine. I have Eaglemoss figurines on them that are more like 4", and they looks great there. Also, since the shelves are made of fabric, not wood or plastic or metal, you probably don't want to put anything too heavy on them, since the shelves can sag or tear.
