Community Reviews
The ThinkPad P14s Gen 6 stands out as a compact work laptop with a strong keyboard, upward firing speakers, built in RJ 45 Ethernet, and a sharp 2.8K OLED adaptive refresh display. The 64GB memory and 1TB storage feel generous for Windows 11 and future heavier software, even if that much RAM is more than most workloads need today. The main drawbacks are the 52Wh battery, which is called out as the weak point, and the OLED panel, which can mean more flicker, burn in risk, and shorter battery life than the low power LCD option. It is a capable portable workstation if the screen and battery tradeoffs fit your use.
Common Questions (5)
The 52Wh battery is a common weak point and is considered small for this class. Under heavy use with full brightness and WWAN on, battery life can drop to about 2.5-3 hours, so it is best suited to frequent charging or power-saving use.
The machine may be WWAN-ready with antennas installed, but a card is still needed and US models may not support factory WWAN options. A plug-and-play 5G card has been added successfully in one case, but another warning says aftermarket WWAN is not a good idea unless the system is truly WWAN-ready.
64GB is more than most users need today, but it can be justified if you run memory-hungry software, multiple VMs, or want extra headroom as Windows and apps get heavier. It also avoids paying for a later upgrade, though the Ryzen 7 PRO 350 is still the bigger performance limiter in this config.
The 2.8K OLED panel offers strong image quality and adaptive refresh, but it can use PWM dimming and 60Hz flicker, which may cause eye strain in long desktop sessions. It also has the usual OLED tradeoffs of burn-in risk and worse battery life than low-power LCD options.
The BUYMORELENOVO code can fail as invalid, while the checkout price may still land around $1,129 depending on the cart and discount application. The deal listing also appears to be tied to Windows 11, so removing the OS is not part of the standard offer.

Arguably this screen is hands down better than macpros I'm currently using.
If anyone purchases a WWAN card it will set you back about $250-300ish but worth it!!! (Unless you find a great deal on one🤣)
I was seeing about 2.5-3hrs of battery under different/heavy usage with full brightness And WWAN on (and only charged to 80%). As everyone has mentioned the battery is the Achilles heel but definitely manageable if charging to 100% and utilizing power saving measures
