So overpay for Nvida instead? I would understand your position if there were more than 2 horses in this race. Unfortunately, it's like American politics, you only got two choices and neither is pretty.

I don't purchase asrock either after them not covering my item under warrant and claiming my mobo had bent pins when I returned it for issues with booting. I knew I didn't have any bent pins when I sent it back and they ended up charging me to get it fixed. Their service was the absolute worst experience and were rude throughout the entire process.

Here's my quick review of the 9070 (non XT) if that helps anyone:

Finally seeing 9070 XT at MSRP! And they're advertising Black Friday price protection? Hmmm... My 3060ti has given me a weird visual glitch a couple of times recently, might be time to finally get an upgrade.

Are Asrock GPU reliable? I try not to purchase from them. But does anyone know about their GPU liability?

Mine has been serving me well for gaming and machine learning. As for realiability the taichi version did have a report of the 12vh connector melting but that's more an issue on the connector. As for performance some of the highest overclocks did come from the asrock cards but thats more to do with silicone lottery than anything else.

This is the price it should've been all along. Unfortunately, since they jacked up the price they lost market share.

I just got the non XT and it's been very solid. Keep in mind these are very large cards, despite not being the top tier models.

Everyone thinking of buying AMD gpus should reconsider. They recently announced they are cutting game optimized driver support f RDNA1 and RDNA2 gpus, Aka RX 5000 and 6000 gpus. These gpus are very capable still but the company has betrayed its customers. Stay away from AMD until they reverse their stupid decision.

At least Nvidia supports their cards all the way back to the RTX 2000 series. AMD should support the RX 5000 series onward if they're serious about competing for customers. And as far as American politics, you forgot the 3rd choice of independent. Which I guess in this scenario is buying Intel cards. If Intel was smart, they should say they'll support their cards for 8 years.

They should at minimum fully support the 6000 series since that's what the current generation of consoles are on

I upgraded my rtx4060 to the non XT version of this earlier this year. I was kinda forced to, as 3 nvidia driver updates in a row were giving me blackscreens with gsync. What's the point of driver updates, when they're breaking a 1 gen old card?

Just an update to this ... Apparently AMD has "misspoken", RDNA 1 & 2 card will still get optimizations and updates for new games as new ones but there just isn't much left to optimize on these cards.

On another note ... I can't find a single review for this card. Looks like it might be a little thinner/smaller than ASRock Steel Legend but other than that no info. Wonder how it fares vs. Reaper that was at $600 just a few weeks ago.
