Apple Watch Ultra 3 stands out as a rugged 49 millimeter smartwatch with strong band flexibility and easy everyday wear. The Ocean band is the only one-size option, while Trail Loop is described as the most comfortable and the quick-change system makes it easy to swap looks for different activities. Natural titanium is often favored for dressing up and pairing with lighter or fancier bands, while black is preferred by some for its sharper look. The main caveat is that the black finish is said to scratch more easily, and the Ultra 3 has drawn some skepticism from Ultra owners over its modest updates.

  • The watch can take Pulse Ox readings and send them to the phone for Health app display.

  • The Ocean Black band can fit small wrists because it is labeled one size and matched Series 4 sizing.

  • The Ocean Black band can protect the watch in rough work environments, even if it is not stylish.

    SpyderZ

  • Natural titanium can scratch more easily, so the black option may be the better choice for scratch resistance.

    Aogen

  • Costco shipping can add extra cost, and band availability may be limited to larger sizes.

    siddi24

  • Pulse Ox viewing may require using the phone Health app instead of viewing the reading directly on the watch.

    mrholepunch

  • Best Buy open-box and returns for Ultra 3 appear unusually high, suggesting some buyers feel minor updates are not enough.

They already (sort of) did. They implemented a workaround due to the ongoing legal issues with Masimo. Now the watch takes an spO2 reading and sends it to the phone to compute the value. You have to use the phone's health app to view the reading instead of directly on the watch.

Ordered my ultra 3 from Costco on 9/29 with delivery to warehouse. It arrived and was picked up on 10/2. It is now $80 off but the app doesn't allow me to do a price adjustment because of the order date even though it was still in Costco's hands until 10/2.

Anyone know any magic to get a price adjustment? Local warehouse said they can't do adjustments for online orders.
