What? I literally bought my MSI 37" 360HZ OLED over the Alienware back when they first came out due to the KVM. It's definitely a factor when comparing similarly priced displays.

What better this one, Samsung, Lg or MSI in Costco after November 18, price almost the same around 400, 27 size, 2k oled, idk which one choose, lg has only 2 years warranty

KVM is a niche use case, nice to have, but most people shouldn't be basing their purchase decisions on that.

I'm aware that some people will take advantage of the feature but that's why my statement said that it's a niche feature that only few people will actually utilize. So in my opinion telling prospective buyers that one has KVM and one doesn't isn't as helpful. Far more helpful would be informing prospective buyers about the panel type like if it's WOLED or QLED, the panel coating, console compatibility, etc.

Is burn in a possibility on this? I've never owned an OLED monitor but this seems like a really appealing package. I've heard on newer OLEDs, burn in has become a lot less prevalent

Less likely but still very possible. Especially if you are using this for a work/productivity monitor which I wouldn't recommend OLED for.

Keep in mind this is QD-OLED which means it isn't going to have true-blacks if you have any sort of ambient lighting (they will be slightly purple). IMO, what's the point of an OLED without true-blacks? Might as well get a less expensive LED with better text clarity and no risk of burn-in. But if you'll always use it in a completely dark room then you'll probably be fine. For $400 there's not a lot on the market by way of quality OLED screen.

I had no idea that monitors with built-in KVM were a thing... definitely sounds like a good idea.

I use my office area for both my person desktop and work laptop, using a hodge-podge of HDMI switches and a old USB KVM switch. I've been thinking of upgrading my current two 27" LCD monitors to OLEDs and getting a new KVM but but there a monitors with KVMs built-in that's definitely gonna impact my research.

Both the monitors from Gigabyte and MSI are OLED and given that OLEDs are susceptible to burn-in, I would go in for the deal at Costco coz returns at Costco are much easier that Newegg even though I am not sure if the one at Costco will get the same 5yr warranty that TVs at Costco get.

I use a KVM switch and thus can appreciate both viewpoints i.e. KVM is important or not....but I feel it is better to have a KVM switch as a dedicated device and not built-in to the monitor in order to keep things simple.
Also, a simple 2 pc KVM switch can be bought from Amazon for as low as $30 or so....

Another difference: Gigabyte MO27Q2 has built in 2x5W speakers while the MSI MAG 271QPX QD-OLED E2 does not have any built-in speakers.

yeah most Dell monitors got KVM but u got install their software and it's buggy so not true hardware KVM. Personally I wouldn't get a monitor with KVM just one more thing that can break or go wrong and better off with dedicated hardware KVM.

Brighter and more color at all brightness which is a major flaw of non QD-OLED monitors. Also, any glossy OLED contrast going to suffer with any sort of ambient light that's why Apple never list infinite contrast on their iPhones since know that's only going to be true in pitch black room.
Anways, I'd be more worried how well calibrated it is out of the box and if it allows to adjust the gamma curve and let's you fix it if bad. Also, I"d check reviews to see if the auto dimming and pixel self cleaning on this is as annoying as I hear it the case often on these OLED PC monitors nod
