Orgain Organic Protein Powder in Creamy Chocolate Fudge is being discussed as a cheap plant based protein option, with the deal price and Subscribe and Save making it especially attractive. The powder itself gets a straightforward fine for occasional use, and the chocolate flavor is part of the appeal. Deal friction showed up around the promo code, which was initially copied incorrectly and later stopped working again. A separate note says Sam's offers a better price, so this is most compelling when the coupon is active.

  • The promo-code issue appears to have been fixed after earlier copy-code confusion.

  • Consumer Reports testing is cited as placing this brand in a lower-frequency consumption range.

  • A lead-exposure concern is discussed with context that this product may not be among the worst options.

  • The product is described as fine for regular weekly use in personal experience.

  • The promo code can fail to apply because it may be mistyped or stop working.

  • The deal discussion includes a Consumer Reports warning that protein powders and shakes may contain high lead levels.

  • Lead-free alternatives are described as harder to find at around the same ~$10 per bag price point.

  • Gas is reported as a downside associated with this protein powder.

Per the Consumer Reports evaluation: Orgain / Organic Plant-Based Protein Powder / Vanilla Bean / Serving Size: 46 grams (2 scoops)

Okay to have 4 3/4 servings per week, or better than one serving every other day.

or just take different protein that has less lead? like lead has no use in our body, you should chose to not consume ANY lead if there are other alternatives.
like if you are not a vegan, just take whey protein and not plant based ones until things change.

Yes, but I was replying to all the people implying this is much worse than it is. You also can't get the "lead free" products for $10/b. Given that everything from vegetables to meat to chocolate has lead in it, it's in the soil, this wasn't one of the worst. What would have been more helpful is to ignore helpful response, and just post a comment suggesting people eat one with zero lead and make your argument there. It took me all of a minute to find a product with zero lead, "MuscleTech," but that's a weight gain product, and to provide a link to lead-free protein powder products that took me all of two minutes to find. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1...oSPhu/view

I know it's cheap, but if you want a lead free product, here is a link to a file that https://cleanlabelproject.org/cle...-clean-16/ produced showing protein powders that have no tested lead in them. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1...oSPhu/view
