This Firebat A5P looks like a strong budget mini PC for casual gaming, emulation, and everyday desktop use, thanks to the Ryzen 7 8745HS and Radeon 780M. The 2x8GB dual channel RAM is a welcome surprise, and real world reports point to smooth 1080p play, low idle power, and a clean Windows 11 Home install on some units. The main drawbacks are the confusing port and network specs, with USB4 and Oculink missing, USB C details unclear, and Ethernet listed as either dual 1GbE or dual 2.5GbE. A clean reinstall and driver backup are commonly treated as part of setup, making it a capable but slightly mysterious pick.
buyers who plan to do a clean Windows install and manage drivers themselves because multiple commenters recommend wiping/reinstalling and backing up drivers first, and report clean installs with no bloatware or easy driver recovery.
casual PC gamers and emulation fans who want a small Windows mini PC because commenters say the 780M iGPU is "amazing for casual gaming" and that it should run a lot of games well if you lower settings/resolution.
buyers who want a mini PC with dual-channel RAM out of the box because commenters say it ships with 2x8GB (dual-stick), which helps GPU performance compared with the common single-stick 16GB configuration.
people building a "console-like" setup for older games (CS:GO, Total War Shogun, Company of Heroes 2) because one commenter says they mainly play games from 12-15 years ago and expects the mini PC to handle them without issue.
home media/home automation users who want to run services on a mini PC because someone asked about running Plex and Home Assistant simultaneously, implying this is the kind of always-on use case people consider for the unit.
buyers who want to trust the vendor's preloaded OS/drivers without wiping because multiple commenters recommend wiping/reinstalling due to bloatware/malware risk and/or concerns about hidden backdoors/rootkits in OEM-provided software.
people who specifically need reliable 2.5GbE networking because commenters report conflicting NIC specs (dual 2.5GbE vs dual 1GbE) and at least one unit received with only 1Gbps ports, which was a deal-breaker for their setup.
buyers who want sustained high performance for non-iGPU workloads (encoding/rendering) because commenters say the unit's power limits look constrained (e.g., PL1 45W / PL2 54W) and that for non-iGPU gaming/encoding the difference may not be worth spending extra versus RAM/storage upgrades.
buyers who need eGPU/advanced expansion via USB4/OCuLink because commenters say the unit lacks usb4 or oculink, so there's "no egpu of any kind," and they also call out limited video/port options (only one USB-C).
buyers who care about Windows sleep behavior (S3) because one commenter says S3 sleep doesn't work in Windows on their unit (only modern sleep/hibernate), while S3 works in Linux.

There are still retail / volume license keys, but most OEM keys are now assign to the mobo.
As for the drivers, I'd recommend attempting to rebuild without any drivers, and only install relevant Ethernet / WiFi drivers if you're unable to connect to the internet to pull remaining drivers via Windows Update. Worst case, Windows 11 doesn't detect the storage controller, and you'll have to provide that driver on a USB drive at Windows 11 setup.

Even if you find something that is made purely in the US, don't install any software on it. It could contain malware. We've seen plenty of times where software could contain malware in the past, so any software is just looking for trouble.
Don't sign up or register an account with any service or site too. They are either monitoring your data or have security holes that leak your data. Just check https://haveibeenpwned.
in fact, just to be safe, stop using the Internet. No browser is safe whether it's open source or closed source. Your ISP is monitoring you anyways. Log off now. It's not safe.

I got this last week for 260$ and it's a great mini pc and my aliexpress order shipped from Amazon. Handles 1080p gaming identical to legion go (very well for an iGPU) - perhaps a little better due to better cooling and TDP.
It came with windows 11 home and no garbage. Clean install was easy and no issues with drivers. 2x DDR5 8GB and a kingston nvme and 2x2.5GbE. for $230 this is a total steal.
