This Firebat A5P looks like a strong budget mini PC for casual gaming, emulation, and everyday desktop use, thanks to the Ryzen 7 8745HS and Radeon 780M. The 2x8GB dual channel RAM is a welcome surprise, and real world reports point to smooth 1080p play, low idle power, and a clean Windows 11 Home install on some units. The main drawbacks are the confusing port and network specs, with USB4 and Oculink missing, USB C details unclear, and Ethernet listed as either dual 1GbE or dual 2.5GbE. A clean reinstall and driver backup are commonly treated as part of setup, making it a capable but slightly mysterious pick.
Common Questions (5)
A clean Windows install is commonly recommended, with the original SSD wiped and drivers backed up first. After reinstalling, most missing drivers can be restored from Windows Update plus the Wi‑Fi and chipset drivers, and several users avoid Firebat's bundled OS and driver packages entirely.
Yes, the machine is reported as 2x8GB DDR5 in dual channel, with two RAM slots supporting up to 32GB. That matters because dual-channel memory helps the 780M iGPU perform better than a single-stick configuration.
The listing images show dual 2.5GbE, but some descriptions and some received units show dual 1Gbps ports instead. Buyers checking the NIC have reported RTL8168/8111 on 1Gbps units, so the Ethernet speed may vary by listing or batch.
Yes, units have been reported to arrive with Windows 11 Home preloaded and auto-activate on first boot. A clean reinstall also activates automatically without entering a product key, so the motherboard HWID appears to be registered with Microsoft.
The USB-C port is reported as USB 3.2 and can provide up to 100W power delivery according to the Amazon listing. It can also carry video on some setups, but the port count is limited and the exact behavior is unclear from the listing.

I highly recommend to take a backup of drivers to pen drive before/ if you do clean install of Windows !
So far so good, the case feels a little plasticky but I like everything else for the price, hope it holds good.
For anyone dealing with random system hangs or inability to boot, try removing the metal piece underneath the plastic cover. Maybe it's just an issue with mine, but even with normal screw tightness, it seems like that metal piece is pressing down too hard on the ports or something. I did remove those NVMe thermal pads, though, as it looked like one was starting to dissolve onto the SSD. Those were probably reducing the contact pressure
Also, if anyone is bothered by the fan noise at load, look up ryzenadj. I've set mine down to 15W and the noise is pretty minimal even at full load. 60% multicore performance for 1/3 the power consumption is a trade-off I'm happy to make

Again, it is a cold start issue. I hit the power button and NOTHING... but light goes on. I do a hard shut down (hold power button for 10 seconds) and then I hit the power button... wait 20 seconds AND THEN it starts... EVERY TIME... but I now usually just put it in sleep mode.
After I installed a clean OS on my new hard drive (SK Hynix P41 2TB)... the bluetooth driver while it was populated per device drivers... it did not work and was one of the drivers I needed to download.
I also needed to download the wifi driver. Windows populated all other drivers and then I got my AMD drivers straight from AMD.
AND there is a NEW BIOS AVAILABLE>
I highly recommend downloading all drivers and backing them up on the cloud.
I downloaded a bootleg copy of Baldur's Gate III and microsoft 365. Both worked very well.
The unit is very quite until you stress it and then you can hear the fan. I am VERY IMPRESSED. What I like the most is having a SUPER CLEAN OS with ZERO BLOATWARE.
What's funny is that I almost filled up my hard drive... Baldur's Gate III is 130GB zipped.. then I need to unzip it... we are now at 260GB and now I have to install it.
I will add that I am planning to upgrade the RAM and harddrive. I will get a 4TB harddrive and I would like 64 of RAM or at least 32GB. As other's mentioned... RAM is crazy $$$$$ so I will wait for a crazy deal or just wait a year before I upgrade. This mini PC can easily have a ten year life or longer.
I really wanted the Ryzen 9 AI 370 but I am very happy with this purchase and don't think the Ryzen 9 AI 370 will do more for me then this system and giving me 3 - 6 extra frames per second does not do it for me.

I was very impressed with the new system and I still loved this firebat as well.
