It's subsidized by state malware. It's very similar to how Ring/Blink camera footage is processed through Amazon servers for AI training and sharing with Flock/LEOs. Similarly the US government and Saudi Arabian government purchased EA games so they pretty much have a back door on any windows PC that has Xbox Games/ EA App installed. Generally if something tech-related is free or cheap, 9/10 times it's because they're making money off of your data. The sad part is more and more companies are realizing they can charge more and sell your data.

This never stops unless everyone stops giving them money.

I'm pretty sure these cheap Chinese mini-PCs usually come with Windows preinstalled, but you're probably going to want to do a clean install anyway, or use Linux

Possibly. That 1650 is a little more powerful than the 780M iGPU. But the CPU in this is much, much more power than your 4th gen Intel. It also includes newer instructions that greatly speed up more recent emulators.

Most emulation is bottlenecked from the CPU, but some things might prefer more GPU if you are rendering at 4K.

They usually have almost all the options unlocked and for most part, it's a proven working reference design they go off of.

I couldn't get the paypal $15 off even though when selecting paypal as payment it showed $15 off $169. The $15 was never reflected on the price before or after checkout

The steamdeck uses a custom apu with 8 RDNa 2 CUs. So the 780m is only 1 generation newer. Further the steamdeck runs LPddr5x 6400mhz ram, which has higher bandwidth than the sodimm 5600 this uses, which can bottleneck the 780m

Do not expect a massive difference, especially on windows.

If you can run bazzite on it, i would expect 30-50% better than a steamdeck.
