Aside from the backordered status...not sure I want to drop $2500 for a 3.6/5 rated prebuilt...

You forgot a few things.

64 gb ram $350+
Case $50-100
2tb gen 5 SSD $200+

That's at least another $600 bringing your build to $2,220 or more. Gigabyte always uses high quality parts as well. For $2,300 your not really going to do much better ATM.

As someone who builds and sells a lot of PCs I do always keep an eye out on prebuild deals as sometimes I can't even build it for that price. This PC, especially if you also stack it with the 5% student discount and then 4% cashback through Bing, comes out to a price where I can definitely not build it myself. However, here's the kicker that you'll find with prebuilds. Gigabyte has great warranties on parts when purchasing them individually, up to 4 years on your GPU for example. Upon calling Gigabyte just now to verify warranties on a prebuild, it's a 1-year warranty for the whole system. No 4 year warranty on the GPU or other parts, just a standard 1 year warranty. If your GPU or anything else fails after 13 months, you're SOL. Granted, I wouldn't say I see a lot of hardware failures, and typically when it happens I'd say it's out of the box or shortly after, but it can happen and something to keep in mind.

With the student discount and cashback I came out to roughly $2100 for this build, which is definitely a great price for the components in there. You get high end models for the motherboard, GPU, and PSU. With RAM prices currently being very expensive, 64GB is worth quite a bit too.

Physical mail in rebate is ridiculous. They want you to cut out the UPC, cut out the serial number, and include a receipt and postmark it by a certain date. If it gets lost or damaged (wet) you're screwed. Not worth the trouble or hassle.

I was wondering if the rebate came in the form of a check, or Newegg or Gigabyte store credit. It appears to be a check (IF they receive it- which they clearly state they may not, and if they don't- they are not at fault, and do not have to honor it). The T&C also states that all submissions must be received by 1/1/26, and once the rebate is submitted- the product cannot be returned.
