Limited time deal at Amazon, but I wouldn't worry about it if you need to think it over. Best Buy deals usually last longer unless there is a clock on it.

True, the RTX 5070 Laptop GPU only has 8 GB of GDDR7, but it's a next-gen Ada chip with much higher bandwidth and efficiency than older 8 GB cards. It easily handles 1440p and 3K gaming, which is what the Blade 14's screen is built for. 4K ultra textures would push past that, but for realistic use this setup stays fast, cool, and well-balanced.

I used to own a 16 inch advanced blade with 2080 super and the computer gets uncomfortably warm even during non gaming session and I hate it. I would rather to have a tone down graphic card than a warm potato because I will need to spend lots of time on this laptop. That being said, I did buy the mercury one. I was even looking at the 5060 one with similar performance but it comes with only black color and also only 16gb memory.

Good observation

The 16 GB version is great if you're mostly gaming, streaming, or doing everyday tasks. Most titles and apps still run smoothly on that amount, and saving $250 makes sense if you need to budget.

The 32 GB model is worth serious consideration if you multitask heavily, edit videos, or just want the system to stay fast for years. Because the RAM is soldered to the motherboard, you can't upgrade it later, so if you can afford the extra $250, it's the safer, more future-proof choice.

Thank the glorious deal editors for that. Nowhere in my original post did I mention IPS; they wrote it themselves.

Hey there. Thanks for the heads up, I've notified the team about it. From what I am seeing, one of the product pages did mention it having an IPS screen.

well it's def not future proof and depends on the game, dlss etc so lots of variables. I think everyone who is thinking about purchasing a 5070 or below should watch this comparison to make an informed decision: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ric7yb1VaoA

Someone tell me how this is getting more love than the MSI Stealth A16 AI+

MSI vs Razor
-RTX 5080 > RTX 5070
-16 GB VRAM > 8 GB VRAM
-16″ 240 Hz OLED > 14″ 120 Hz OLED
-Better sustained thermals > thinner, hotter design
-Ethernet port > no Ethernet port
-Slightly lower RAM speed (5600 MHz < 8000 MHz)
-Fewer USB-C ports < Razer's connectivity
