How are you using vinegar? A few sites told me to fill a glass with it and put it on the bottom rack and run a full cycle. I wasn't sure how that helped and I never did it.

So far, I use an Affresh tab every one or two months on an empty cycle. Never had issues with stink in the dishwasher, but I do disassemble the filter mechanism and scrub it clean since it does build up some gunk every dozen or so washes.

I clean the filter as well. But literally just put a mug half full of vinegar in top rack and let it rip

Coupon switched to $1.77 after I clicked on it for $2. Then it wouldn't give me the other savings, so price was more around $3.00 Bait and switch. Nothing against slickdeals. Amazon, quit being jerks. I see what you are doing.

This was not my experience. I used to say the same thing as well. I ran vinegar and baking soda all the time for years since it's cheap/natural. Then I saw this Finish cleaner posted here on SD and tried it. Magical stuff. The entire inside of my dishwasher looked brand new, whistle clean. Cleaned the filter without me even removing it. It even lubricated the racks so they slide in and out extremely easily now. Takes a lot to make me rave over a product but I definitely became a repeat buyer of this one.
