This 24 inch linkable LED shop light stands out for bright, compact garage or basement use, with 7000 lumens and a color temperature that lands in the 5000K to 6500K range. The light is described as working well in a shed, basement workshop, or on a work table, and the motion sensor can be bypassed or turned off for always on use. The main cautions are that the 2 foot size is smaller than the usual 4 foot shop light, and the motion sensing has been unreliable for some setups. Color quality and CRI are also uncertain, so it suits buyers who want lots of light more than perfect color rendering.

Common Questions (5)

  • It is listed at 5000K, which lands in the neutral-white range. That is generally preferred over 6500K for garage lighting because 6500K can look too blue, while 4000K-5000K is often seen as the sweet spot for a whiter light without a yellow tint.

  • The motion detection can be finicky and may trigger when nothing is moving, and some units reportedly failed within 8 months. It can still work as a momentary light source or work-table light, but it may be less dependable for all-day garage use.

  • Yes. A $5 off $25 code has been used to bring 2 lights to about $35 shipped, and the coupon has also been reported as reusable for $10 off $50. There is also a separate $10 e-gift card promotion on orders over $100.

  • Yes, it has a motion sensor, and the sensor can be bypassed with the onboard switch so the light stays on continuously. The motion timeout is about three minutes after no movement is detected.

  • This model is a 24-inch, 2-foot light, not the more common 4-foot garage shop light size. That makes it more compact for smaller spaces or targeted work areas.

Not apples to apples, but FYSA: The HF BF ad includes a 4ft. linkable shop light, 5500 lumen LED for $16.99. Not motion-activated. Normally $23 before coupon or promo pricing.

I want to add some lights to my attic. I have a huge attic since my roof is high pitched. Want to be able to store some stuff up there. These look good, but may wait for the HF BF sale.

Anybody with experience with these lights know if they can be hardwired and can the motion detection be turned completely off? TIA

If they don't write it don't expect it to be high. Esp in a $20 fixture
I think you meant low? CRi is measured from 0 to 100, with 100 being the best.

Keep in mind this is a 24" (2ft) model, not your typical 4ft length that's common for these style of garage fluorescent lights.

For anyone that uses these, it has an off time of 3 min. So if you're working in your garage etc and are fairly still bolting things etc, have you had it shut off on you and does it fire right back up with an arm wave? I love the idea regardless as long as the execution is decent.

As others have said, what is the operation of these like? 3 minutes on is okay, but do they accurately re-detect movement if you're working in said room? I could see a poorly designed light like that being more trouble and frustration than it's worth!

I was thinking about using some smart device detector plus a smart plug actually to just flip a switch and leave a light on for 30 minutes...

no they don't detect movement very well. I have 2 of these under the Braun name from HF and they are very annoying. I ended up plutting them in the basement for momentary light sources. They're not reliable sources of light for working.

bought these last time and they didn't last 8 months. Also noticed many times that the motion sensor detected ghosts very often cause it was on a lot in the garage with no movement. I don't recommend these

In for 2. I think these will make good work table lights. Lots of lumens and the sensor should work fine for motion while you are working on whatever project.

i dont see why not at 7000 lumens, but the motion sensor would make it inoperable for plant growing
