Put it farther and 27" becomes 24" with more distance. Better for your eyes too.

I'd rather buy a 24" 1080p monitor than a 27" 1080p monitor.
Can you explain why?

Not a gamer, only production. Text and clarity look nicer with a 24" 1080p monitor. I use 27" 1080p but text starts to look a pixelated. Not a huge deal but definitely noticeable.

Cool, let me just knock down this wall real quick...

But on a serious note, I wouldn't waste money on this either way. Acer has had a reputation of producing low quality electronics for years that is well deserved. I'd rather spend $20 more on a brand that will last.

Ive had an acer laptop for 8 years, tablet for 5, and monitor for 5 years all without problems though

For indoor use when the monitor is not facing a window it's likely enough.

The same number of pixels but spread out further across 27 inches vs 24 inches means lower pixel density per inch. Higher pixel density usually means higher definition images/text, and possibly more vivid colors. For office use, I don't think it matters much, (which is why I'm in for 1), but for graphic design and video consumption it theoretically doesn't look as nice.

27" 1080p is apocalyptic pixel density.
