Why are you commenting here then? The last time I checked the MBA screens are not touch, nor 3:2, neither 120Hz. The battery life is comparable, if not better, and so is everything else; keyboard, build quality, Speakers.

The Snapdragon processor is extremely slow for a laptop. Maybe in a phone. MacBook Air will also destroy this in battery life. The trackpad is also far superior. It's just too expensive for what it is.

And siri intelligence is better than copilot lol. You have different purposes, not everyone prefers a MacBook. And when it comes to Windows based laptops, Microsoft surface is a good choice. The 3:2 screen is a blessing and some of us prefer that!

The CPU on the surface laptop 7 is on par with the 2021 apple M1 or older gen Intel CPUs. Microsoft choosing to go with snapdragon was a big downgrade due to the X elite being a bust

My point again, why is a windows laptop being compared to a MacBook, under a windows laptop thread? Just like MacBook air is aimed for general productivity and media consumption primarily, the surface laptop is too and it's better in that having a 3:2 display. Anyone who's in the Mac OS ecosystem would rarely look for a windows laptop and vice versa. The X Elite in this is perfectly adequate for what this laptop was made for.
If someone wants a high resolution bright touch display with significantly long battery life, good build, speakers, keyboard and most importantly 3:2 aspect ratio, there's no other option than a surface laptop. So this comparison and debate is unnecessary.

Windows and Apple devices are constantly compared. The number one use of these products is for school and college students. I'm stating dollar for dollar anything silicon based will run circles around this for the same price. It's like a Ferrari vs a Prius. Sure power isn't everything. How useful is a touchscreen on a laptop? Zero. You would choose surface pro tablet for that.
