Saw this deal in SF but am unfortunately in Nola this week, and realized there's a fogo across the street from hotel. However, the event is completely sold out in Nola.

I'm sure y'all have questions like:
  1. Does the Costco Fogo GC work here?
  2. Is it AYCE
The answer is: IDK, but for 1: probably not because payment is done through opentable

Reports are a bit conflicting on whether it's AYCE on the Wagyu. At best it is, but also hard to actually get more, and at worst it is only one slice.
With 3 full glasses of wine though, it could still be a solid deal.

Booked a reservation in SF and I don't think opentable actually took any payment.

So maybe the costco gift cards will work?

Where does it say you have to pay through OpenTable? I was able to make a reservation but didn't pay anything.

Can anyone confirm who went yesterday if gift cards are allowed?

Don't you need to pay the $100 deposit on opentable ?

I just called my local Fogo de Chao. It is not all you can eat. They told me they would serve two glasses of wine and a couple of slices of wagyu. If you wanted the other meats, you would have to dine in the regular price. I guess I'm canceling my reservation.

I just got back from it. It was 3 glasses of wine and of the better cuts of steak (ribeye, wagyu, tomahawk and maybe some others) we got about 6 or 7 pieces each. They also had empanadas, bacon wrapped chicken, bacon wrapped steak, and grilled cheese.

Definitely seems YMMV on what you're fed. I hear it's more a social mixer event than a full AYCE+SB experience.

If you want something limited, go with the event, if you want a good bang for your buck, go with the Best of Brazil special!

To clarify, you get 6 or 7 pieces of each type of steak per person or for the whole table (How many people?). Was it more than enough to make you full?

Per person. They come by with a tray and give you a slice. For the wagyu it was small pieces, but for the other cuts like ribeye it was a standard slice. I'd say it was decently filling, but definitely not like an all you can eat.
