This is a compact digital charcoal grill and smoker that stands out for smoking performance and a steep in store clearance price around $149. The app and store inventory checks can help locate remaining display or boxed units, and some pickups included extra discounts or a $20 two year protection plan. The main caveats are that many units are floor models or preassembled, sometimes stored outside, and assembly or missing parts can be an issue. It also needs to be kept clean when running hot to avoid grease fires, so it is best for shoppers comfortable inspecting the unit closely.
Common Questions (5)
It is often showing up as in-store clearance with the last few display models, and some locations have only assembled floor units or boxed stock left. The Home Depot app can show nearby stores with clearance inventory and remaining quantity, but the item may not be on the floor and may require staff help to locate.
Many stores are selling assembled floor models, but they can be incomplete or incorrectly assembled, so every part should be checked against the manual before buying. Some units have been stored outside, with reports of wet, dented, or missing parts, and buyers have had to remove side shelves to fit them in a vehicle.
A 2-year protection plan has been reported at $20, and one buyer also got an extended warranty for $20. Another purchase used a Home Depot card coupon to take an additional $15 off the clearance price.
It works well as a smoker, but it needs to be kept clean if you want to run it hot because grease can ignite quickly. For smoking, use charcoal with wood chunks or blocks layered in the hopper rather than chips alone, then burn it off after a smoke session.
Yes, with the side shelf removed it can be narrowed to about 43 inches wide, which was enough to fit in the back of an SUV. Another buyer also removed the shelves to fit it into a Corolla Cross.
