My take on Wifi 7 without the third 6Ghz band is its a scam. not even a proper 6E. Rather a wifi 6 with better processor.

Between 6, 6E & 7, the confusion zone should be 6E. Why bring that bs onto the next one.
Wifi 7 should only be the ones with tri bands.

I felt similarly, but there are some wifi 7 improvements over WiFi 6:
Multi-Link Operation (MLO) simultaneously sends and receives data across multiple bands or multiple channels on the same band to improve reliability and throughput.

Flexible Channel Utilization/Preamble Puncturing is a feature that allows a portion of channel width to be blocked while the rest maintains a connection. This is useful in noisy wireless environments where there may be interference, allowing your device to use a 160MHz+ channel width non-contiguously.

Multiple Resource Units (MRUs) is a technology that builds upon OFDMA from Wi-Fi 6 and further improves efficiency with multiple client devices. Previously, each client was limited to one RU, but Wi-Fi 7 allows each device to be assigned to multiple RUs at the same time.

4096-QAM (4K-QAM) is a modulation scheme that allows a higher density of data to be transmitted, resulting in higher potential throughput.240MHz and 320MHz channel widths on the 6GHz band allow for significantly higher throughput.
Aside from the last couple, the other improvements can make a difference, even with dual band wifi 7. See more at https://www.rtings.com/router/lea...Personally,

I just bought 2 units of the 4 antenna version, be230, for about the same price. It supports easymesh, so I was able to set up a basic 2 unit mesh network for $180. Set up your primary router unit. Then connect a LAN/Ethernet port of second one to a port on the primary device, and it automatically sets itself up as a satellite. Super easy. Barely an inconvenience. Each unit has 4 LAN ports. Even the base eero 7 2pack still costs $220 on sale. And it only has 2 Ethernet ports.

Also, you could also say that the 6 ghz band in wifi 7 is also a "scam" since the band needs line of sight to work well. Most people don't wall mount their wifi access points to get max line of sight coverage. And most wifi 6e and Wi-Fi 7 systems that support the 6ghz band are a lot more expensive. For $90, it's not a bad buy, assuming you're happy with wifi 6 speeds, and you ignore the unproven rumors about Chinese spyware.
