The correct answer is 4.7 which is not offered, I picked 470 figuring GigaParts misplaced the decimal point somewhere in their calculation but that was marked incorrect. Of the four answers offered:
Approx 235
Approx 470
Approx 700
Approx 940
all are incorrect.
Let's do the math:
Q = R times the square root of the ratio of C over L.
Calculate the ratio C/L
10mH = 0.01 H = 10 to the minus 2nd power Henry
100pf = 10 to the minus tenth power Farad
The ratio of C/L = ten to minus eighth power
Take the square root of the ratio C/L = ten to minus fourth power
Multiply that by R. 47000 x ten to minus fourth power = 4.7.
Interestingly some on line calculators give the correct answer 4.7 and some wrong ones.
