These are great headphones but most people still prefer the HD6XX which are less than half the price. Of course audio preferences are subjective, when I briefly had these last year I did find them more comfortable than the 6XX.

The previous low price for these was around $380, I believe on Amazon for Black Friday

Totally agree, most people would be blown away by either the 600 or 650. Drops edition is its own thing, nothing against it but for me the latter two are the ones that hit. During Black Friday you can get either at an amazing price or buy used

I think the build quality / aesthetic of the Sennheiser branded headphones is slightly better but the HD650 is functionally identical to the 6XX and all the measurements I've seen of the two are basically the same as well. All things considered I think the cheaper one has the most value

$680 list price for these is a fantasy price that no one spends who is in their right mind. Even $430 is a debatable deal if the 600/650/6xx can be had for less than $300 regularly.
