No. I had purchased LG open box tv several years back. When there is some internal component issue, they replaced it for free, and no questions asked.

I would avoid open Box tvs from BestBuy. recently i am seeing these open box tvs are dumped at back of the store as scrap without any protection of screens.

I purchased a Sony TV this way and when I called to get support for a screen issue they said it was completely not covered. This was 1 month ago. The store confirmed it was covered for 1 year but Sony refused to support the TV at all and said the warranty was void due to open box purchase. So I guess its hit or miss. I was able to return the TV since it was so recent. Make sure to confirm you have a vaild warranty before the 15 days return policy is up or you might get stuck holding a broken TV. It is not easy hauling around a 75" back and forth to the store either.

What are you talking about? I have a couple of webOS LG's and stream without any issues. What is your source?
