I have two of these. They sound great! I've run several tube heads and a Katana mkii head through these cabs. Love the Vintage 30's and these cabs for clean all the way up to heavy chugging distortion.
Tempting to get just to use to test different speakers. I like the Gold but only heard online comparisons, plus the speak itself is over twice the cost of this cabinet.

Is this a better buy than the other Monoprice 5W tube amp fr $119.99? I know they're in different price ranges and use cases but just wondering!
Monoprice 15W tube amp is on sale for $200, normally $250, also. Lot's of youtube vids on it, compare it to a Fender Blues Junior. 15W is deafening in a tube amp.
I'm seeing lots of reports it's actually plywood. Figure if it's MDF I can always return it.
I checked to product on Monoprice's website and didn't see it described. Figured that if it was plywood they'd probably want to say that as it is a benefit, but I might have missed it. Like I said though, I don't know. I even have the 15W amp but too lazy to go look and don't remember. Would think it would be the same though. Mid-typing, I thought, why don't i just check youtube. This guy says it's plywood. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9...3S4&t=283s

Mostly at this point I'm only concerned about if they changed the materials due to tariffs, but it's not totally unlikely that those things have been stateside for a year or more considering how soft the guitar market is.

You run these at the same time with a splitter or how? Given they're 30W, will a 15W tube amp drive them to breakup? Thx.
