I respectfully disagree. I found it to be very fun. The story is awesome, and what makes it shine Imop. The combat is unique to the FF series, and I found enjoyable. At $20, this is a steal, especially for any FF fan.

And no battles are reduced to QT events. It's like GoW at HP thresholds and it's absolute cinema - especially the esper battles.

Agree on all points. I was catfished by Square with the demo, it immediately went downhill after the first 20-30mins and never picked back up. Hard pass - not worth your time or money.

I finished the game, I dragged myself through it. It played like a WWE storyline. edit: I did not play the dlc

Totally agree. FF fans shouldn't miss this one. The only thing I was underwhelmed with was the lackluster side quests and the pacing of the game sometimes, but other than that, it's a fun game, and amazing story!

I loved the game, but I wish that Clive's skills were nerfed more on the hardest setting. Most battles were laughingly easy with the same skill set and with one skill in particular he's nearly untouchable.

100% agree this was by far the worst FF game I've ever played. Very undeserving of the Final Fantasy name
This is game is great if you like watching Attack on Titan and watching endless cut scenes and
If you want a VERY watered down Devil May Cry and no RPG elements

Yes. You got the Chad old veteran FF fans saying this a side FF game than a mainline FF game and the virgin newb FF fan that are probably rage baiters or never played a good FF game, let alone a good action game like devil may cry 5.

I don't know why everyone praises the story. I was bored and rolling my eyes back a lot. They say this is inspired by GoT and if so, I don't want this stupid story type again. And it didn't even commit to it anyway... Seems like midway, they can't decide if they wanted to be violent and naughty GoT or bare minimum FF story.

Combat is competent but also bare and in limbo. Like it can't decide if it wants to be an action rpg or devil may cry. Esper battles are so meh.

Honestly, it's not a bad game... Just not an FF game

And anyone thumbing me down are obviously butthurt

Man, that is scary. Id idn't even like the demo. Glad this was the first main series game I skipped.

They named the original that because they thought it was the last game they could afford before going under.

Then it was a huge success and obviously it is hard to give up the branding after having a major hit.
