streaming deals?

198 50 November 5, 2025 at 11:32 PM
Hulu has raised their monthly rate to 11.99 a month for the deal we got last year for .99 cents. That makes me think they're no longer offering the BF deal. Has anyone heard anything about this?
I would love to find a deal on Discovery+ but I don't think they actually do those. Feel free to alert to any other streaming deals you come across.

Have you done the 3 month YHWKFMH9YANR code yet?
For some reason it is trying to force only a 7-day free trial. How do I get it to let me enter the code? Thanks!

Walmart+ offers peacock or Paramount+ with it's service. Also Walmart+ is half off now.
Thinking about doing the 50% off Walmart+ deal this year and then getting their 5% back credit card. We're going to end up paying for Zepbound out of pocket, so if we could use that at the pharmacy and get 5% back on it, that would be great. 5% back at Walmart in general is not a bad deal, either.

FWIW, Costco will start carrying GLP's in the new year. They are usually cheaper than anywhere else. Even with the $65 annual fee. ALSO

Has programs and coupons. Good luck!

Their credit card used to be capital one with 5% back but now it's something called one pay, which I got, but it seems a little shady to me. I tried to put in my info to be able to pay it easier but if I read their fine print correctly, you have to give them access to ALL your financial records including 401k and other accounts. I hope I misunderstood that, but either way, I didn't agree to it and just called in my payment. Not really sure I want to keep using this card.

They are wrong, it's not shutting down, it's being folded into Disney+ sometime next year.

Did they just want you to type in financial data as part of the application (such as the total value of all your accounts) or did you have to give them things like 401K and investment account number to apply? Or are you saying you had to link your investment accounts in order to make online payments? (That last part would be crazy.)

You said it's shutting down "really soon" "by the end of the year"...it isn't.
It is being absorbed into the Disney+ lineup. That isn't "shutting down". It and its programming will continue to exist. It will still independantly produce. AND most importantly for those not in the industry, it will probably continue as an "Upgrade" to Disney+, IE you will need to pay extra for it. So, save the emoji...

that means hulu is shutting down. It was also a question. so i wasn't sure if it was by the end of the year, but when a streaming service gets absorbed by another and goes by a different name, that is shutting down. if I used to pay a company named hulu for something, and used an app called hulu, but now I dont pay a company named hulu, and use an app called hulu, that means they shut down. hulu is shutting down.

Thanks for trying to explain something to me about the industry I work in. laugh out loud
There is a lot wrong here and I don't have time to explain it to you. Like, when you pay Hulu you are really paying the Walt Disney Co. And you were wrong about the timeline and didn't address that in your repsonse. But this is a deals site, not Facebook, so have a nice day.
