In all seriousness this was in good condition and great for use in getting stains out and getting built up gunk out without using chemicals
The original model of these was recalled, but not this updated model.

Bissell's Steam Shot is a compact handheld steamer that shines on small cleaning jobs, especially grease, grime, grout, bathroom sinks, mirrors, and even stubborn plastic film. It can work without chemicals and the low price makes it feel like a strong value. The tank is small, so longer jobs take time, and the unit is less convenient without the hose, which is not included. Some comments also flag heat, buildup, and recall concerns, so checking the model and recall status matters.
The recall process can reportedly require only photo proof of destruction rather than returning accessories.
The steam cleaner can remove stains and built-up gunk without using chemicals.
The steam method can melt grease and help blast it off surfaces.
The recall claim process can be straightforward and replacement units can arrive quickly.
The unit does not include the hose, which can make use much less convenient.
The steam output can feel like fog when the hand is not within inches of the tip.
The listing can be misleading by showing attachment use that is not included with the unit.
The steam cleaner can damage black paint when cleaning a faucet.

No, they absolutely have not. The other thread will clarify this.

Im in the same situation. I wonder if they will take the old one without a hose so we can keep it for use with this model?

I disagree…ive owned a unit like this for at least five years and only use the hose a handful of times.
In most situations the hose is even more inconvenient because you need two hands to use it.
I usually just use the steamshot in one hand and a brush in the other hand.
