This is extremely YMMV. Found this highly discounted Makita Brushless Chainsaw kit on the clearance shelf at the Fleming Island, FL, Home Depot. There was only one. Might be others at other locations. Good Luck

The one in the rebate is 16" 30CC equivalent vs this 18" 45CC equivalent. But yeah great deal if you have the blower on clearance.

At first a couple months ago they had been giving the 16" GCU05Z away which is a 42cc equivalent. I bought leaf blower and weed eater for 199 each. Both came with a 4ah battery. ( The 5ah battery sure would be nice for the chainsaw

I bought another blower later and it included the GCU03 version which is the 30cc equivalent. I was excited about this b/c my wife wanted the smaller / lighter one for her (gcu01/02/03 etc are a good portion smaller for her to manage). Right before they shipped they updated the gcu03z to the gcu05z ( I guess they ran out of the 03's or something) I emailed them quickly and told them I already had two of the 05's (which are awesome I love them) but wanted the smaller one for my wife. They were quick to get back to me and offered me the gcu02z which she loves. Its the 14" 30cc equivalent. Not sure what program they have currently but I just wanted to chime in that if you can get this deal for the $279 with 5ah battery its a great deal and you wont be disappointed! I bought the blower and weedeaters just to get the chainsaws. I wouldn't hesitate to buy it at that price and im pretty frugal. Honestly great chainsaws!!
