Member's Mark 4 Burner Gas Griddle is a large hot rolled steel griddle that stands out for strong cooking performance at a clearance price. The 720 square inch surface, 48,000 BTU output, and easy clean grease cup make it feel like a lot of griddle for the money. Pricing has been seen anywhere from the low 90s to the 160s, with pickup and clearance varying by location. Main drawbacks are the short cover that cannot close right after cooking, rough assembly instructions, and reports of uneven seasoning at the front plus occasional hose or regulator leaks. A solid value if the size fits your setup.

  • Sam's Club members who can catch clearance or lower local pricing because multiple commenters report much lower pickup prices than the posted $132.18 (like $106, $110, $105, $93, and even $100).

  • people who want a large-capacity griddle for frequent cooking because commenters say it "performs really well, particularly given the price point" and that it has a lot of cooking surface (720 sq. in.) for the money.

  • gift buyers who want something that will likely be appreciated because one commenter says they bought one as a gift last year and "they loved it."

  • buyers who are okay with doing a little extra prep/maintenance because one commenter recommends torching the front for more even seasoning and also advises checking for propane leaks if you're particular about the cooking surface.

  • people cooking for more than two because one commenter says a larger Members Mark griddle is "just too big for two people" and implies this deal fits better when you have more space/people to use it.

  • people who are shopping in areas where the price doesn't drop much because commenters report higher local prices like $161 in NW Indiana and $200 in California, making the deal less compelling versus the clearance expectations.

  • people who want to close the cover immediately after cooking because a commenter says the grill cover is too short and you "have to wait for it to cool before closing."

  • buyers who hate complicated setup because one commenter warns that the assembly instructions are "horrible."

  • people who want perfectly even seasoning right out of the box because a commenter says the griddle "will not evenly season" since the front isn't exposed to direct heat.

  • buyers who are risk-averse about propane/regulator issues because one commenter experienced a hose/regulator leak that wasted about $50 in propane and required a refund from Sam's Club.

It's a very nice griddle but beware. The assembly instructions are horrible!

I saw the pro available for $179 for curbside pickup. This one is $97. Does anyone suggest one over the other?
I just picked up the pro for $166+tax and its bigger being a 5 burner. The non-pro model too the cover are the shelves that you flip up, whereas the Pro model has dedicated shelves and cabinet storage under the griddle. Very happy with it so far.

Fantastic deal. I got the Members Mark 22 inch a few weeks ago and am very happy with it. This one is just too big for two people or I would jump on this.

I bought one of these at the beginning of the season. Couple of things. The griddle will not evenly season because the front of the griddle is not exposed to direct heat. Also, my hose or regulator leaked. I thought at first I may have put on an empty propane take, so replaced it and same thing happened, wasting $50 in propane. Because of this, Sam's club refunded my entire purchase and allowed me to keep the griddle.

I do like the product, but keep these issues in mind. If you are OCD like me and want a evening seasoned cooking surface, consider hitting the front with a propane torch and watch for leaks.

Incorrect. It clearly says it is steel, not iron.
