Jackery HomePower 3000 is a large portable power station aimed at backup power and load shifting, with enough capacity for heavier loads like a sump pump. The 20 millisecond switch time can work for basic backup use, and the unit is notably cheaper than some EcoFlow alternatives. Solar charging looks more limited than competing setups, with 1400W input and no XT60 connector, which makes it less appealing for always on off grid use. The time of use and UPS behavior also draw criticism, especially for peak shaving and sensitive electronics, so it fits best where simple backup matters more than advanced power management.
The power station can work well as a battery backup for a sump pump.
The solar input limit can still be workable for charging from a motor or generator on a boat.
The 20 ms switching behavior can pass a computer power test when power is pulled and restored.
The unit's time-of-use and load-shifting limitations may be bypassed by using a different app-based approach on competing models.
The solar input limitation can make off-grid solar charging feel inadequate for always-on use.
The load shifting and time-of-use feature can fail to match advertised behavior and may force 0-100 cycling.
UPS switching can be too slow for sensitive electronics and may reboot connected equipment.
The unit can cycle the battery while plugged in, which may reduce battery longevity compared with a true UPS design.

Fair points but this was never meant to be a UPS for sensitive electronics. The 20 ms switch time is too slow for a computer. I use this as a battery backup for our sump pump and it is great.
Features, smart app, support?
Big thumbs down.
Anker is another one to avoid for peak shaving. They too have a terrible implementation of it.
