Don't buy these grey market keys. You're just risking getting your cc info stolen. There are totally legal ways to activate windows and office for free. The activation scripts are available online if you know where to look.
that is why i use virtual credit cards for all online stores. I set them for 1 time use and/or set expiration date so day after transaction processed.
virtual cc are great for trial subscriptions since you do not have to remember to cancel the subscription as long as you set an expiration date and/or limited # of transactions

Purchased. Had to uninstall existing office and reinstall with download from email link for key to work. Thank you - great deal.
Do you have to use download link from seller instead of direct microsoft official download?
If downloaded from seller then too risky might have malware embedded in the installation. Frown

If you're going to pirate, just do it. Making justifications are pretty sickening and mentally unsound.
Lol, sickening? It's a multi-billion dollar company my dude, you don't have to feel bad for stealing from them.

Purchased. I really appreciate privacy.com since it creates a new number locked to a maximum amount and a single use. No worry about credit card fraud since the number won't work after the original charge.
BTW, it is also great for subscription deals since you can lock it to a monthly amount (such as $4.99 for the Hulu/Disney+ deal) and not worry about forgetting to cancel since a higher amount will be denied.

Here is a QUOTE from Bill Gates, "If someone will use pirated software anyway, it's better they use Microsoft's products so they become familiar with them and might later buy licenses or upgrade."
Based on what Bill has said and the fact that he is worth well over 100 BILLION... I will take his advice on his software and download pirated versions rather then paying money to someone who is worth so much money. AND HE IS OK WITH IT!!!
And from Bill's famous qoute... I have yet to give him a penny of my money.

True I used XP pro for a decade

Three words from another posted deal : microsoft activation script. Used that instead of getting the keys. Figured if i am taking a risk, might as well be for free on my dual boot system 😂
Same for me! I mess around on an old dual boot system now and then.

Here is something to consider for anyone getting on their soapbox about pirating Windows/Office. When you buy software, you are paying for a license to use that software, not the complied software itself. This has been clearly defined for many years directly from companies that sell software. Hell, Microsoft even allows you to download Windows/Office products on their website for free(along with other companies also!) So, if you are not paying for the actual software and only paying for a license, you agree to follow everything defined in the license terms during purchase. The people/groups selling these grey market keys are skirting the terms of the license that was agreed to during purchase. You are effectively pirating software at that point, and you are paying to do it. Just because you paid someone money for the license key, doesn't negate the fact there is a license violation involved, which is itself piracy.

Now downloading an ISO of Windows/Office from Microsoft themselves and using an activation script available online is the same license violation as the grey market keys. The differences though:

1. Very unlikely Microsoft will have any way to revoke the software activation after it's completed, and no evidence they have ever tried
2. There is no key for you to keep track of, which means no chance of the key becoming invalidated from whatever source it was obtained from
3. The software can be moved to another computer, as you can just run the script again. The grey market key might be able to also, so this might not be a difference
4. Free as in beer

Unlike sex, where doing it for free is legal but paying is not, piracy is piracy whether there is money involved or not.

I don't think so. My two laptops are both installed with bootleg Windows and Office... Both laptops are 3rd gen intel... one is a i5 and the other is a i7. It has been 13 years and they both work like a charm... that is like 13 years ago. Both got the extra year of updates from Microsoft. Both products are registered and verified by Microsoft.

I never had a issue with bootleg software but I have always had MAJOR issues with all the bloatware and spyware that manufactures install on pre purchased laptops and pc's. I wish we could do a clean install of Android on our devices like we can with a PC. This is why I needed to use bootleg copies and to do it legit is too difficult, I don't want to phone Microsoft.

I personally do not understand why it is so cheap... but I will say this is all designed by Microsoft.
Lol same, not sure why people are defending a multi billion dollar company saying they need/should buy from them but whatevs. Maybe they're fanbois for Microsoft who knows.

People pay for windows? I just received a new laptop with Windows Pro on it, and I could not bypass the setup screen fast enough to finally login, download Rufus and a Linux iso, and format that POS spyware OS.

Apparently you do. Part of the cost of your laptop you just bought includes an OEM Windows license.

The $689 Thinkpad P14s with a hx 370 and 64gb of RAM was worth whatever paltry share went to Microsoft. I would venture to guess their 20 question, prove you're not a bot, Fermi style waste of time problem set Microsoft makes you complete to register your obnoxious OneDrive account cost more in compute than they made from whatever licensing agreement they have with Lenovo to mandate installation of their bloatware.
