This Knipex 8 piece precision circlip pliers set is praised as a high quality, Germany made option that feels great in hand and stays stiff with heavy circlips. The textured handles are comfortable, even with oily hands, and the set can reach ring layouts that cheaper alternatives cannot. The main drawback is price, with comparisons pointing to lower cost ICON sets and Harbor Freight options for lighter use. It stands out most for frequent circlip work and tighter, heavier duty jobs.

The Icons have ability to perform the same jobs just aswell.
Neither brand is going to break or wear out doing it's job.
The Icon often go on sale for 30-40% off.

Torque wrenches are another.
If you are working on weak snap rings or circlips, then the ICONs are probably fine. But if you are working on heavier duty ones, which is a thing, the tips can snap off.
I have never had a tip snap off a quality set like these but I have on cheaper ones.
I will say that my goto are the Hi-Tech set. They are made in the USA and they made all Snap On circlip pliers in the past.
