This 85 inch Toshiba C350 stands out for sheer screen size and solid picture quality, with one comparison calling it comparable to a prior Samsung. The panel is described as heavier than expected, and the built in speakers are weak enough that a soundbar is recommended. The Fire TV setup may also be annoying if it still needs the Fire TV remote to clear remote not detected messages. At this price, the main appeal is getting a huge screen for the money.
home theater viewers who care most about "picture quality and presentation" because commenters said the picture quality is great and the overall presentation is comparable to their previous Samsung.
buyers who plan to add external audio because the built-in volume "is not that great," so they'll get more value by pairing it with a good soundbar.
people buying mainly for a big-screen upgrade because one commenter said the price is great "just to have size" and described using it from far away (French doors 30+ feet away).
shoppers who only need a working HDMI port for an external streaming box because one commenter said they would only need HDMI to connect a third-party box like a Walmart On TV.
buyers who are okay with using the Fire TV remote as part of their setup because a commenter warned that older Toshiba Fire TVs can show a "remote not detected" notice unless you hit the Fire TV remote.
people who want to rely on a universal remote for everything because a commenter said their Toshiba Fire TV would complain it hasn't detected the remote and they had to press something on the Fire TV remote to clear the notice.
buyers who are sensitive to Fire TV software/value because one commenter questioned whether it's still worth it if it's running the same Vega OS as Fire TV/Firestick and suggested other options may be better for the price.
buyers who are comparing LED backlight performance closely (e.g., full array local dimming vs mini-LED) because a commenter said to check whether it's full array local dimming and to verify ratings before deciding if $650 after tax is worthwhile.
people who already had a Toshiba TV fail quickly and want to avoid that risk because one commenter reported their prior Toshiba (49") lasted only 18 months (not necessarily this model, but it's a caution from their experience).
buyers who want the best deal versus competing big-brand options at similar sizes because one commenter argued a Walmart 85" TCL Roku TV at $498 (with free wall-mount installation) may be a better buy than the $649 Toshiba.

Might be able to get an Open Box (fair) for $533.99, Open Box (good) for $551.99, or Open Box (excellent) for $569.99.

599$ is a great price just to have "size" for a TV. If my house wasn't about to go on the market, I'd probably switch my 70" out with this because it's in an area that people can even watch from the French doors outside 30+ feet away.
