For Mac compatibility unless you buy usb-c to hdmi cable to connect mac. Some windows laptop also have only usb-c port without hdmi

There is a pretty good dell qd-OLED of same size if you search slickdeals for Amazon and S3225QC -if you are focused on USBC though deal depends on what coupon you get when you click the Amazon link. I didn't buy it specifically because I wanted displayport

Personally, I'd never use USBC without a dock anyway so I couldnt care less about it but it's a fair ask

last couple monitors I bought had a thunderbolt/usb-c dock built in. That's the ideal scenario. my monitors might be more business and less gaming though. wish there was more overlap.
