You can return the battery and keep the impact, correct? Home Depot still allow this?

Type of tool, somewhere, would be handy for this listing.

Usually, yes. My recommendation is to set them to be picked up at two different stores and then just don't pick up the one you don't want, then you don't have to deal with actually returning it

" FREE GOOD INCLUDED"

Better than a free bad I guess.

Apparently that was just this kit that had that typo.

So how do you make the tool work without a battery?

The return "hack" is usually for people who already have a charger/battery.

Or you can return the tool instead, depending on which you want anyway.

I saw the item I wanted the 3in cut off tool for $99 after returning the batteries. Good deal but should I wait to see other black friday deals?

I don't think you can keep the tool. Per the bill discount dollars apply to each item. So if you return the tool. You still gotta pay for battery , just bit less due to discount.

Or visa versa if you return the battery.

You can return it, but only get $$94.74 refund for battery pack. They list item as ~50% off each in the bill. Still a good deal for tool only.

Saw on Reddit that someone got banned from shopping at Home Depot for doing this. They specifically shipped to 2 different stores and don't pick one item up. Just FYI

Same thing recently happened to me when building my Dewalt tool empire and some for friends/family under my account as well. I bought more than JUST the hacks, last thing I had bought was 2-3 months back and last hack was 6-ish months ago... I went to check on something in the app and couldn't log in. After a week of not being able to login I called CS and they told me basically if you return a lot of stuff they deactivate your account. It took 1/2-1 week but my account is back.
The worst part was not having all my receipts (that are only in my account) for if I ever need warranty stuff. If I want to do a hack in the future I'll prob still do it but with a brief pause.
