Best deal I can find right now so I ordered it. I should get 4% cash back from Capital1.
Since I am part time with my employer I do not have a company email address. LG Partner store would not accept my personal email address. I tried it over a dozen times and for some reason it finally accepted and I was able to register and complete the ordering process. Your mileage will definitely vary.

This 45 inch 5K2K OLED curved monitor stands out for immersive gaming and strong productivity on a huge, sharp canvas. Battlefield 6 at native resolution and HDR is described as exceptional, and the panel looks gorgeous with a curve that feels natural for gaming. For work, the 125 PPI layout fits native scaling well, MacBook Pro and Mac mini use is reported as flawless, and the curve can help keep edge content aligned. The main caveat is that the 800R curve can feel too aggressive for CAD, spreadsheets, and other straight line work, and native 5K gaming demands a very powerful GPU.
Common Questions (5)
It can be excellent for productivity, with 125 PPI giving sharp text at native scaling and enough screen real estate to replace multiple monitors. The 800R curve can make straight lines in CAD or spreadsheets look wonky, so it suits curved-screen comfort better than flat-panel precision work.
Native 5120x2160 gaming is very demanding and can push even high-end GPUs hard; a 4090 struggles in BF6 unless upscaled, while a 5090 can reach about 100 fps at native resolution in BF6. To fully use the 165Hz panel at ultra settings, a very powerful card is recommended.
For gaming it can feel immersive and natural, but for productivity it may be too curved for some users and can make straight-line work look distorted. Others find it more comfortable than a flat 38" 4K because the curve reduces edge-reaching and improves viewing comfort.
Yes, it can run at full 5K resolution and 165Hz on a Mac mini with no issues, and it has been described as flawless with a MacBook Pro M3. One concern raised is that some M4 5K2K setups may have HiDPI text-blurring issues, though that was discussed as a broader 5K2K compatibility question.
The monitor has been seen at $1,215 with code EXTRA10 and at $1,297 historically, but that code no longer works on this monitor. The site also shows a Black Friday Price tag, suggesting the current partner-store price may not go lower, though another retailer could still undercut it.

I'm tempted to jump this deal, but I don't want to deal with returning this if a better deal shows up.
Also, anyone know if Apple fixed the issue with the M4 chipset doing 5K2K? All I find online are a bunch of complaints about it from late 2024, but no follow-ups.

For gaming the resolution is tough on the GPU performance requirements, my 4090 struggles in bf6 unless it's being upscaled... So keep that in mind. it looks gorgeous

Btw don't let the curve scare you. It is a delight and very apt design for immersive gaming.
I bought at release for 1700 or so and was totally worth it even at that premium price.
