Walmart+ at $49 is mainly valued for free shipping and delivery, plus the included streaming choice of Paramount+ or Peacock and extras like Burger King discounts and gas savings. The membership can also be useful for same day grocery orders, InHome delivery, and occasional Walmart Cash or Amex stacking that can cut the effective cost further. The main cautions are that renewal and retention offers are inconsistent, some deals require canceling first or using the website, and delivery or refund experiences can be messy. A strong value if the included perks match how you shop and stream.

  • Returning Walmart+ members who let their membership expire and then rejoin when the offer pops up because multiple commenters said the $49/50% offer appeared after their membership ended (sometimes proactively in the app) and they were able to renew at the discounted rate.

  • People who use Walmart same-day delivery or small-item orders because commenters said same-day shipping can have no order minimum (e.g., a $5 item stays $5) and that they can even buy very small items and still get free shipping.

  • Walmart+ shoppers who already use Paramount+ or Peacock (and want to keep one of them) because the $49 annual price is described as paying for itself since Walmart+ includes Paramount or Peacock and you can switch which one is included every 90 days.

  • People who want to avoid the streaming-service shuffle and would rather get streaming bundled with a membership because one commenter said they're "over it" with switching services and prefer buying movies/series, while others value the included Paramount+/Peacock benefit as part of the Walmart+ package.

  • Shoppers who can time renewal and/or use Walmart cash or Amex offers to make the net cost very low because commenters described stacking a $50 Walmart Cash retention offer with an Amex "Spend $98, Get $49" offer to make the membership essentially free or near-net-positive.

  • UFC fans who want Paramount+ included because commenters noted UFC streaming moves to Paramount+ in 2026 with no additional fees, making the bundled Paramount+ benefit more compelling.

  • Families who shop at Walmart regularly and want faster delivery than Amazon Prime because one commenter said their orders are often faster than Amazon Prime and that Walmart+ is "a great deal for families who shop at Walmart."

  • People who also care about Burger King perks because commenters clarified there's a 25% off Burger King daily benefit (once daily through the app) plus a free Whopper quarterly with purchase.

  • People who want a guaranteed smooth renewal/discount experience because multiple commenters reported renewal confusion or mismatched charges (e.g., account showing $49 but being charged $98, or promo/eligibility not applying as expected) and needing chat/cancellations/refunds to fix it.

  • Shoppers who typically spend only $1-$4 in the Walmart app deals because the Burger King 25% benefit requires a minimum $5 purchase and can't be combined with special app deals, so the BK discount "is not a deal" for them.

  • People who are sensitive to ad-supported streaming because commenters said the included Paramount+/Peacock benefit is the ad-supported tier and they weren't able to pay to remove ads (or weren't sure), making it unattractive for them.

  • Shoppers who rely on grocery delivery selection and price parity with Amazon because one commenter said in their area Walmart had more out-of-stock items and higher prices than Amazon for grocery deliveries.

  • People who need the half-off promo without fully being off Walmart+ because one commenter said they had to be fully off Walmart+ (not just scheduled cancellation) to get the 1/2-off offer.

  • Shoppers who want to use the Burger King discount as their main reason to buy because commenters warned the 25% BK discount can't be used with other app offers and may not apply to many menu items under "digital exclusives" or "limited time only."

  • People who are uncomfortable with "pop-up"/dark-pattern style sign-up flows because one commenter said they're tired of dark patterns and pop-up subscribe flows and wouldn't reward Walmart's behavior even though they wanted Walmart+.

  • Current Walmart+ members hoping the $49 deal will apply automatically without changing anything because at least one commenter said the deal button redirected to their account and they couldn't use the discounted offer while still having an active membership.

Soooo... do you guys tip the delivery guy?
Aww, I do. I give them 5% 🤷 ♀️ I use it quite often due to medical and schedule issues. I order delivery for my family about every 1.5-2 weeks, sometimes even sooner. I really saves me time. Sometimes I feel like maybe i should give more but considering others don't give anything idk 🫠

sweet! im glad i waited. my sub ended on Nov 3rd, and i decided to just do a monthly for one month and hope! i just clicked the above link, and it allowed me to convert my monthly to the 50% off annual(starting on Dec 3rd)! thanks op! worth it for me for the paramount/peacock, the BK, and the fact, i can order 1 item at any cost, and it gets delivered for free in a day or 2, sometimes faster than amazon.
Yeah my annual ended on Nov 2, but that card is maxed so they couldn't process the next annual payment lol. I just canceled the membership and it immediately gave me the 50% off annual promo when I clicked the deal, super awesome. I'm one of those that actually likes the W+ sub, it's pretty useful for my family.

I've ordered a bunch of their Halloween clearance. The shipping was fast got there in a day! The only downside is when I open the box instead of receiving knick knack Halloween items such as the ghost cookie jars I got 10 packs of adult diapers! The second part of my order was just automatically canceled it wasn't delivered probably sold out.I got my money back and they told me to just reorder but it made me think twice about ordering with Walmart again!
Haha, I ordered a few different Halloween shirts and they gave me like 3x of 2 of the designs when I ordered 1 shirt each. Idk what happened there.

Last year I was able to purchase this for $48 even though I had a membership that didn't expire for six more months. When it expired the $48 membership went into effect. But apparently this is only for new members this time, when I click on the get the deal button it just takes me to my account page and doesn't offer me the deal. Anybody else have a current account that's had any luck being able to use this?
Yeah, luckily my sub ended Nov.2 so I was able to take advantage of the deal. Don't like that it has to be that way though, wished it just tacked it on for current customers.

well, personally I would call and explain the accident, that you would love to reup the membership etc, you might be surprised. I called a while back and griped about delayed shipping for a jumpack I wanted with for a road trip, they cancelled it and reordered, both were late and for the inconvenience they refunded both and told me to keep them..new in box no less each were $80 lol. Call them, you have a story to tell, they will fix it. ps..call and hang up till you get a filipina, they have more empathy and really go the extra mile and deserve a great review at call end. 2 seperate calls, 2 seperate people, same level of service, outstanding.
I appreciate your advise, but i am not going to follow it because I am tired. I am tired of companies trying to scam me. I am tired of dark patterens (the subscribe now button in my music app that seems to load when I am driving right where the play button was. The Walmart plus button that pops up just as I am going to ad something to my cart. I am tired of hitting a button to subscribe and save on the main page but to unsubscribe I need to use google to find it. I am tired of companies like best buy that allowed me to sign up for total tech then canceled it and auto signed me up for Total (this one even I fell for, the credit card bill said best buy tota...) So no there's no way I'm going to reward Wal Mart's behavior I do appreciate your assistance. The sad part is I do want w+ I looked into it, and it would be a good fit, but because I had to reach out to their customer service (instead of an easy button) to get the credit back on my card they can go f+ themselves as I pop-up a finger.

When I tried cancel my account, Walmart gave me a similiar offer if I paid full price of
$98.00, membership would be $49/yr and I would get $50 Walmart Cash when your membership renews. That's tomorrow.

Yes, free (4) whoppers from BK along is almost worth it. LOL Plus all the other benefits is definitely nice.

Does the clock start on the Paramount+ subscription as soon as you purchase Walmart+? I have Paramount+ now thru the Sportsline deal that runs into January. Is it possible to purchase Walmart now, but wait until January to redeem Paramount+ and still get a full year?

Just purchased last week at regular price. Still in 30 day trial period. Clicked thread link and my account showed an "upgrade now" for the $49 price option. Took advantage of that. And, it looks like they are still giving me the rest of my trial period before they charge my card $49.
