This is the older version (Gen 9) of this series. The Gen 10 version was on sale last week for 799 and uses the Intel 256V CPU. Supposedly, the hinge issues are improved on the Gen10 as it attaches to a metal surface instead of plastic.

Have this laptop since Jan 2025, got it for $375 'Good' condition. Works fine for web browsing with 20+ tabs. Battery life is ok, maybe 4-8 hours. Used it to do CAD work and it worked fine for basic models. A bit heavy and bulky but it's mainly a home laptop, for heavier stuff I have an i9 desktop.

All the yoga I owned seem pretty durable for opening / shutting the screen. I think hinge problems often occur when people reverse the screen or turn it into a tablet. Its a feature of the product but probably not design to be done daily.

Just a note that these qualify for the extended return policy for the Christmas season which gives you plenty of time to look it over. Ordered the "excellent, open box" as a work computer.
