I was comparing TCL, Vizio and Hisense. Hisense was the worst for reviews, lots of people complaining about failures / issues, etc. I plan on buying Vizio or TCL.

Same. Vizio has a 43" model for a similar price that can do 1080p/120hz for gaming, too. I'm using a 2023 Hisense as a PC monitor now and regret it. I won't buy another Hisense.

Sam's Club has a 40" Vizio (1080P) with HDR10/HLG on sale on Black Friday for $128 I plan on buying that for now. It's rare for non-4K TVs to support HDR. TV Model VFQ40M.

For those mentioning Vizio, I have a 2010 vizio that I drag out to my deck for football games, has been hit by bicycles in the garage, knocked over several times, that still works fine.

The hisense was mounted and didn't have a scratch- just stopped working. Chinese garbage.
