Also note that the special features on this edition are very impressive: 2 different commentary tracks, 3 shows (each at least 49 minutes long) about Kurosawa & Seven Samurai, the usual theatrical teasers/trailers, and a 56-page booklet full of essays.

If you like Seven Samurai, this is an incredible edition.

A classic just like Yojimbo and Sanjuro.

If you like Samurai shows the golden age was 1960s-1980s. The Samurai vs Shinobi on utube will give you a taste.
