Keep the 20" and 24" and give me two 28". With airline it is either check in or carry on there is no need for the in between.

Not worth it. Check the 1 star reviews first. And...it's ABS+PC (like what ...99%+1%? 😁). You should get 100% PC (polycarbonate). Trust me, it matters!

20' is a carry on. Which is useful.
24' is also a better option for check-in to comply the weight requirements.
The luggage weight increases with 28in version and fillimg a 24-in can make you reach weight lomit but for 28in its so easy to exceed it.

Community Reviews

This Tripcomp set is mainly appealing as a low-cost nesting luggage bundle for occasional travel, with the 20, 24, and 28 inch pieces covering carry-on and checked-bag needs. The nesting design helps save storage space, and the price looks far below typical store pricing. The main concerns are durability and airline fit, since the shell is ABS plus PC rather than full polycarbonate, the wheels are not dual wheels, and the 20 inch bag runs close to common carry-on limits. The 28 inch bag also looks easier to push past airline weight limits, especially on international trips.

travelers who mainly use carry-on and want a size that fits airline carry-on rules because the 20" is called out as useful as a carry-on option (even though it's just over common limits on many airlines).
ozzz TrollingBy
people who travel once or twice a year and want a low-cost set because it's described as a great price for infrequent trips and the commenter says it seems like a great price for those who travel only once or twice a year.
rixsaw
business travelers who prefer a single checked size and don't need the largest case because one commenter says they always use the 24-inch suitcase for business travel and never the 28-inch.
SKV4m
couples or families who want nesting luggage to save space on arrival/return because commenters say the bags can nestle to save valuable space in a hotel/stateroom/guestroom and they specifically mention using both 28" and 24" for that reason.
Purelife924
domestic travelers who are okay with the risk of airline handling because one commenter says it's a good deal if you plan to use them for anything else than airline check-in.
GreyDolphin9665

international travelers because commenters explicitly say it's not good for international travel and another notes the 24-inch is rarely used and they end up using 28/30-inch for check-in, especially internationally.
GreyDolphin9665 GreyDolphin9665
travelers who want a durable hard-shell for rough handling because commenters warn that ABS/crappier plastics crack more easily and one commenter says these do not have dual wheels.
Yirgacheffe101 luckyman26
shoppers who expect expandable luggage to add capacity because one commenter says there's no second zipper to expand and another says they personally don't think these suitcases expand.
yangzi rixsaw
buyers who care about material quality being clearly polycarbonate because commenters question the ABS+PC composition (and even which parts are ABS vs PC) and argue you should get 100% polycarbonate since material composition matters.
WaitWhaat caotico
anyone planning to rely on the 28-inch case for packed weight because commenters warn the 28-inch empty weight increases and it's easy to exceed airline weight limits when filled.
ozzz ozzz
people who plan to check the luggage on airlines because commenters report ABS suitcases are likely to come back broken/open after check-in and recommend polycarbonate (PC) or better for that kind of abuse.
GreyDolphin9665
people flying with budget airlines who need strict carry-on compliance because one commenter says you're pushing it with a 20" carry-on and may not even be allowed.
GreyDolphin9665
buyers who want to avoid zipper failures because one commenter says the Walmart listing reportedly states the luggage has a faulty zipper that keeps breaking and ripping.
Eli7Bracha

The 24-inch suitcase can reach airline weight limits when packed with clothes.
ozzz ozzz TrollingBy
The nesting luggage set feature can save storage space during hotel or stateroom stays.
AKAsh12321 Purelife924
The 20-inch suitcase can work as a carry-on option for many trips.
ozzz TrollingBy
The set can be a practical budget option for travelers who only fly occasionally.
rixsaw Greyone

The ABS+PC material composition can be less suitable for rough airline check-in handling.
WaitWhaat GreyDolphin9665
The 28-inch suitcase can be easier to exceed airline weight limits when filled.
ozzz ozzz
The luggage set may not be ideal for international travel and may be risky for airline use.
GreyDolphin9665 jjj444yes
The set may have a faulty zipper that keeps breaking and ripping.

Common Questions (5)

It is a better fit for non-airline use or very occasional trips than for frequent checked-bag travel. The set is attractive for storage because the pieces nest, but the ABS+PC build and reported zipper concerns make it a weaker choice for repeated airline abuse.
AKAsh12321 GreyDolphin9665 FantasticPear7469 Eli7Bracha
The shells are ABS+PC, not 100% polycarbonate. That matters because ABS is generally less impact-resistant than PC for checked-bag abuse, so this set is better suited to lighter use than rough airline handling.
WaitWhaat GreyDolphin9665 Yirgacheffe101
The 20-inch bag is slightly over common carry-on limits at 22.74 x 14.76 x 8.86, so it may be tight on some airlines, especially budget carriers. The 24-inch is the more practical check-in size, while the 28-inch is more likely to run into weight-limit issues when packed.
TrollingBy ozzz GreyDolphin9665
No, these do not have dual wheels. That matters because single-wheel luggage is generally less durable under rough handling than dual-wheel designs.
luckyman26 Yirgacheffe101 Action101
No second zipper or expansion zipper is included, so the suitcases do not expand. That makes the set less flexible for overpacking, but it also keeps the design simpler for occasional travel.

24inch is pretty useless, I have one and it almost never get used. always end up using 28/30"inch for checkin baggage, esp international travel.

I have a 24" (not this brand) and maxed out at 50lbs by placing heavy items (vitamins, etc). I was surprised 24" could actually hold 50lbs (including 8.5lbs luggage weight itself) but the luggage I have is strong.

Ideally you mustn't get luggage beyond 28" as that's more than adequate to max out at 50lbs.

Why even suggest this deal if on the Walmart site it says it has a faulty zipper, is it really worth it to buy it if the zipper will keep breaking and ripping ?
