MSRP shenanigans aside, I have this tool bought from HD on sale.
It's pretty good for what I use it for, which is to blow all the sawdust out of my garage after a few woodworking sessions. It gets a few uses until I need to swap the battery. Not sure if it's strong enough or long lasting enough for my front/back yard together. I've used it for my patio which worked fine.
I have two of these that I use for clearing grass clippings off the driveway and leaves, pine needles, etc from the patio. It works very well for this task!
I recently purchased this tool along with two Genuine Makita batteries from Home Depot (Home Depot is an authorized reseller of Makita products. The deal (not sure if it's still live) was buy two batteries and a fast charger, and get your choice of select Makita tools for "free". Total cost of the two 4ah batteries, a fast charger and this same blower was $212.00 shipped. I really needed new batteries, and I needed a new Makita blower (mine (different model) fell off the roof and hit the pavement and broke. So did I by the way- that was one year ago to the day...) I'm mostly back together. I epoxied my blower back together and it works fine (same as before our fall).
