These are the mobo that have been causing the chips to fail right?

Wouldn't buy due to ASRock motherboards frying 9800X3D chips.

Very good system price given the state of component pricing now

$1000 - GPU RTX 5080. Good choice
$450 - CPU 9800X3D. Good choice.
$300-$500 - Mobo
$300-$400 - RAM - 64GB probably too much but why not
$100-$200 - SSD

Power supply, case, CPU cooler, OS, "warranty", assembly fee ...

Went ahead and pulled the trigger on this. Given current RAM prices (with no end in site due to AI) this is a great deal for what you get right now. As far as the Asrock boards killing chips, it's due to BIOS settings that they have since fixed based on the research I did. So, will just make sure the settings are good when I boot her up in a few days!

Agreed. Many people paid this much just for a GPU in the not to distant past. Great specs here for the price.

Wondering if I could get this and swap the mobo for a better one (looking to run 4-5 M2 SSDs).

The people that don't have the issue aren't posting about it on Reddit so take that with a grain of salt. It's not 100% of users that have the issue.

Why can't a pre-built pc look good and have specs like this one for a reasonable price... I dislike this look 😓

It's only been the last few weeks/month, I think its more scarcity rumors/panic than it is tariffs.

AI datacenters are scooping up all the ram causing a shortage and manufacturers having trouble to keep up.

Both ram and ssd storage pricing are on the rise. Meanwhile, gpu prices are somewhat dropping so we got that going I guess.
