Nice price for a fine tooth blade, although a fine tooth blade like this is something that has more utility in a miter saw or track saw than a circular saw that typically use these 7.25" blades. Granted, they do make some miter saws that use them too..

Does this work on the track saw?

Edit: No. Checked when I got home and it is a 6 1/2 blade.

I agree 100%, however, the cordless 7-1/4 miter saws are quickly gaining popularity. Right now there is another FP deal for the ryobi version with a 4ah battery and charger for $129 which is a great deal. I assume people are using them for flooring? But I haven't used a saw for flooring in 6 or 7 years. Ever since they came out with Vinyl planks, we just use a razor and score and snap. Pick your poison for small cuts with the grinder or jig saw. I think I will grab two of these blades for my regular circular saw as they are literally the same price as any other decent 40 tooth right now.

I used my bandsaw when I did my locking vinyl flooring. Worked great, but since bandsaw blades are relatively pricy, I think I would've preferred the jigsaw approach - but didn't have one at the time.

Thin kerf 7 1/4 blades I sometimes use in my table saw, when I really want to save wood, like some expensive leopard wood or ebony. The cut is very thin, almost like you're using a band saw, but doesn't need to be run thru the jointer to get a good glue joint. You can't get a real tall piece cut but it's plenty for 3/4 stock.

This particular blade has too many teeth for ripping though.

Got one, my previous 60T blade has ripped a lot of plywood, and will likely not last through one more big project.

Can you use 'a razor and score and snap' on laminate flooring too?

No, ever since vinyl came out, I never looked back. Laminate is a thing of the past, and for good reason. It served its purpose, but is now obsolete. Vinyl is better in every possible way. The only other flooring option now would be actual wood, which you would use a saw for, or ceramic/porcelain tile.

I think there's a Wen track saw that uses this size/arbor. This is a bigger diameter than most nice track saws, but it should clear enough to allow cutting 8/4 rough. If that Wen track is compatible with the nicer track saws, the 7.25 Wen might be the versatile do-everything-well-enough starter saw for this weekender.

Interesting.... Built a new Central Florida home 3 years ago. Then, LVP was all the rage and laminate was 'out' with few options available. The LVP buckled (install related), and is being replaced.
Flooring stores here now offer 80% laminates with Mohawk RevWood the big seller, and maybe 20% vinyl options, at best. I was open for wood, but was advised against it by due to humidity and
moisture issues, not to mention the cost. We had to pay a 'flooring expert' to inspect the failed LVP and prove to the original dealer/installer they were responsible. Our 'expert' also advised us

I am also in central Fl, I have a few rentals, and I put LVP in 6 of them so far, 5 years is the longest, no issues at all. I installed it myself. I also put it in 4 flips, as well as at least a dozen houses I did as a handyman. I have only put down one hardwood floor in the last decade. LVP is the way I will go, but to each their own.

No argument here... there is no substitution for real world personal experience. It makes me cynical, so much is 'marketing fluff'.
But for grins, drop into your nearest flooring store and see what they try to sell you. What was 'crap' yesterday is 'totally awesome' today.
