I recently purchased a large battery and inverter bundle deal from eBay and realized sales tax was incorrectly calculated with total BEFORE coupons, discounts. Per Texas state (my delivery address is TX) law, all sales tax should be calculated AFTER coupons, discounts:

In my transaction, I was charged sales tax on $1500 instead of $1200, an overage sales tax amount of $24.75. I looked back on a few other previous eBay purchases when coupons were used and these transactions also had sales tax calculated incorrectly. I've opened up an eBay support case regarding this sales tax issue and I'd advise all others to review their transactions with coupons. This is not only wrong, but illegal. I may pursue a class action lawsuit if others are onboard and sales tax overages are not refunded.
